it is usually advisable not to disturb sedition but allow it to remain buried if it will be harmful to the body keeping in mind personal, sectarian, or tribal interests.
the knowledgeable majority including senior statesmen and security officials are fully aware that the number of those who have obtained citizenship through illegal and dishonest means, at least since the liberation until recently, are tens of thousands, and perhaps more and there is a strong demand from some ‘suspicious’ people to remain silent in the midst of the danger of the presence of these criminals among us, under the pretext keeping sedition dormant is in everyone’s interest.
the issue is not related to theft or bank robbery not even the murder of an innocent, but much more dangerous than that. the crime of these forgers has affected the identity of the homeland, its security and stability, and the welfare of its children.
if we assume that there are ten thousand forgers, this means that we have an equivalent number of homeland traitors. they will sell kuwait as easily as they sold their original homeland.
this means these people have obtained thousands of ready-made homes, residential plots, soft government loans, and other enormous advantages, which they unjustly seized for themselves and deprived so many honorable citizens of their rights to decent housing, a decent job, treatment, education, and much more.
it also means that the children of these people intermarried with others, and deceived them by depicting themselves as children of honorable and well-known kuwaiti families and tribes. they toyed with their emotions and took advantage of their goodwill.
we may be fraudsters, as some describe us without referring to where and when the fraud occurred. we may be underdeveloped secularists and vulgar liberals (i do not know what these qualities mean), but we love this country and are loyal to it, and we did not swear an oath of allegiance and obedience to a backward guide at the expense of the homeland.
if we are fraudulent, how do these people explain the verdict of the court of cassation, which confirmed that the forgery cases do not fall within the statute of limitations?
why did everyone support this great verdict issued by an outstanding judge and some of them had previously demanded not to awaken sedition?
the reason is that we all felt the devastation and huge political, social, financial, and security damage caused by one forger, so how much more damage might have been caused by the thousands?
an ignorant and foolish person, commenting on the verdict, says it took many years for the verdict to be issued, and since there are hundreds or thousands of cases of forgery, how long will it take for the verdict to be issued and close the file, not realizing that the lesson lies is in the principle. just because the police can’t catch every thief, it doesn’t mean they have to give up their duties.
they also lament the danger that the national cohesion will be exposed to danger if the authorities start looking into cases of nationality fraud and how a certain group will be most affected. they demanded that those who call for opening the forgery files fear god while they are the ones who did not fear god.
finally, i wonder: why only special groups demand that the files of nationality forgery not be opened, were they the subject of accusations, for example, and i doubt that?
any comparison between the numbers of each category of citizens, after the completion of naturalization in the early sixties, or even after liberation, with their current numbers can explain the reason for their outrage and their steadfast refusal to open the file of forgers! and almost a suspicious person wants to say (a guilty conscience needs no accuser).
