Whatever we do for Iraq

whatever assistance – monetary or otherwise -- kuwait has offered to iraq and continues to do so, in addition to a willingness to cooperate in every field like a good neighbor should do, some iraqis or rather a part of the population, continue to believe in their mind that part or all of kuwait belongs to iraq. this shows how ungrateful these people are and whatever “we do they will not change their views.”
therefore, it has become very necessary to confront these people each time they make noise and try to place kuwait on the wrong side of the fence. this should be done by all means either by directly confronting them with documentary proof or through arab channels outside kuwait.
it has become apparent that we are not adequately prepared to ward off such attacks and slanders that kuwait is subjected to on iraqi arab channels or in international forums. if it was in some other country, the government would have immediately replaced the minister of information who is more active and capable of brushing aside baseless accusations which we are subjected to by recruiting a team efficient people to defend the legitimate rights of kuwait.
if we want to confront the iraqis who time and again muddies the political waters, we don’t need arms and ammunition, because we have people who can defend our rights and demonstrate the legitimacy of our demands and these people are: saad bin tefla, sami al-nisf, faisal al-ghais, muhammad al-rumaihi, shafi q al ghabra and others.
the role of the current political analysts has been exhausted and it is time for them to step down because they have been no longer effective because they are known only for their big mouths but lose their nerves during a debate.
we are a small people living in a small country and our comfortable and stable situation has become a source of envy for many. there is no better media than ours to defend our legitimate rights and try to remove the illusions from the minds of some people and here i am not talking of any invention.
all countries around the world are known for making use of the best media to explain the issues of their countries and prevent others from spreading lies.
we have the right and this does not mean that we remain silent and do not respond to lies. our rapprochement with iraq must continue and so our cooperation, which is imperative in every sense of the word.
we must continue to strengthen trade and economic relations which are more than vital, and all this must be accompanied by and coincide with the concern for our rights that must be clarified to all without hesitation.
