‘Show grit in anti-graft fight’

the kuwaiti people may be the easiest to please, or they were, before the increase in the numbers and influence and when before they were influenced by the group who believed in ‘take whatever comes in your way’. it is quite possible, as stated in machiavelli''s book ‘the prince and other philosophers, to satisfy the peoples with a few reform decisions. this is what we want now from his highness the prime minister of the government to be satisfied with a little as long as it is impossible to achieve everything we desire ‘overnight’.
a recent report by the anti-corruption authority revealed 90 complaints were filed in 2020, about suspicious transactions in 37 government institutions. among the most ‘corrupt’ was said to be the ministry of health, followed by the ministry of awqaf and if we found the ministry of health coming out with some excuses due to the catastrophe of the covid-19 pandemic that afflicted us and the world, it pushed the ministry’s officials to act in an unconventional manner, and this is what the investigations will unfold, so what excuse we give to a religious ministry, run by many who are radicals who think they are the best among the creation to occupy this high number of violations?
the reason is the religious nature of these parties, which made them believe that they are above accountability, laxity in holding the accused accountable, and the large size of the budgets allocated to these bodies compared to education or culture. therefore the government must deal with the religious authorities, with respect to their status in the same way as dealing with others. we are all human beings and money teaches or rather gives rise to what is forbidden.
it was also not surprising to discover later that most of the escapees with the money of others were the most pious and righteous, for example, the repentant fugitive deputy, and the nightingale who fell silent after the revoked nationality was restored.
so how can the quran printing authority be renewed, like many of the organizations that do not work, and they have not printed a single copy of the quran over ten years, and then the government spokesperson comes to announce the plans for austerity measures?
why do we need to print millions of copies of the quran, which can be obtained from well-known sources at half the cost?
what about the electronic applications of the qur’an through which the qur’an can be recited loudly and silently, or heard in a beautiful voice, with an explanation of all its words, verses, and stories, all available at the touch of a button on any mobile phone, and even my mother, who has reached the age of ninety, excelled in using it?
the premier must be firm, dissolve all idle bodies and centers, save hundreds of millions for the state, and most importantly send signals about the government’s seriousness in combating corruption, waste… the unjustified waste.”
