Me and Nasser Al-Duwailah

nasser al-duwailah, who is described as an expert, strategic and military analyst, and a former member of the national assembly announced his decision to leave the country, to distance himself from harm due to frequent prosecutions against him and that he will live outside his homeland until things change, adding that the public prosecution continues to file cases against and that he has ended up paying thousands of dinars in fines, bail, and other things.
“from the dear land of kuwait and from its international airport, the homeland of his forefathers and grandparents i will leave, and will soon return when conditions get better,” alduwailah said. he added: i ask god to bestow goodness on the ruling family.
there is no disagreement or even a fleeting relationship between me and brother nasser alduwailah, and i think that he made a lot of effort not only by standing with one party against another, during the grinding gulf crisis between saudi arabia and its allies on the one hand, and qatar on the other hand, and even his exaggeration in hostility to the other side and for some reason he saw, perhaps materially convincing.
but the return of warmth between the two parties to the conflict, saudi arabia and qatar, necessitated the sacrifice of yesterday’s allies especially those of no importance. nasser al-duwailah was perhaps one of them as the managers of the egyptian opposition channels in turkey pushed him after the role for which they were recruited had ended.
like him, i had been summoned to the public prosecution office and the criminal investigation department, and i entered the courts because of dozens of opinion cases, this in addition to the visit of the state security and taking my fingerprints in a humiliating manner, and thus i know his suffering and complaints, and i do not blame the security and judicial authorities here as they implement the laws but the blame falls on the national assembly and its members, the geniuses who previously approved the audiovisual law, and put a dangerous tool in the hands of the government to use it in the way it likes against every opinion holder, and in the future, they will be the victims of this law or one of their relatives or brothers.
the departure of nasser alduwailah from his homeland, and choosing to live abroad, was definitely not an easy decision, neither for him nor for his family and he really deserves sympathy.
despite my disagreement with him in almost every position or opinion, it is his right for us to support his cause and seek, at least, to change the notoriously-mentioned audiovisual law.
after completing writing this article, i learned from a tweet sent by al-duwailah that he chose turkey as a temporary exile because, according to him, it is the best option for all free people for it is a country of freedom and has a just ruler with no wrongdoing, and a state based on a historical legacy in managing nations and its approach is prudent in international relations, and its people are hospitable, so he decided to live in erdogan’s country.
it became clear later that turkey, due to the recent changes in its positions, refused to allow him to enter, a country in which no one is wronged, and the country of the free, so he may go to another country.
