Bedoun & the ‘aboriginal’

thousands of illegal immigrants, especially the arabs from the middle east and north africa die of drowning, are run over, or suffocated to death inside containers annually – the immigrants who attempt to reach the paradise in europe, the land of equality, safety, great income, and dreams get fulfilled.
this scramble to reach europe is caused by the bad, or rather miserable conditions of the countries to which they belong, and often because of the governments of these countries, and what european societies offer to these people is well-being and security.
the problem of the bedouin in kuwait does not differ much from the problem of those wishing to migrate to western countries, and the evidence is that no one thought of making a counter-migration or resorting to poor european countries where benefits and gifts are not available.
thus, the reasons that attracted many to kuwait, who we call bedouin or their parents, are almost the same reasons that attracted the majority of the fathers and grandfathers of kuwaiti citizens today but because of human nature, people usually do not want those who compete with them in the bounties of their country, and this is normal.
for example, a person who buys a ticket to attend a show does not want to see someone crowding him in the place, or sitting in front of him and preventing him from comfortable watching, or sharing in the bounties of the country, and sometimes without even buying the ticket, and he will demand the expulsion of these people or prevent them by any means from entering the country.
this is what happened with the first immigrants to countries such as the united states, canada, australia, new zealand, and others, and their current sharp attitude towards new immigrants.
this prohibition or non-acceptance is not only emotional or selfish, but it is legitimate because these people will cause a great demographic change in society, especially if the society is fragile which is what our society has become.
accordingly, it is necessary to take the matter to a different level, and the national assembly should issue a clear and definitive law stating the opinion of members’ opinions on the bedouin, granting state citizenship to all those who are proven by the central system for remedying the status of illegal residents (csrsir) that they deserve and stipulating in the law that the door is permanently closed to any naturalization to others, while granting them all the benefits that guarantee all their human rights, including work, medical care, education, and so on.
the issue has taken a long time, and the time has come to solve it in accordance with the wonderful results that are very close to the truth reached by the central system headed by the virtuous brother saleh alfadalah, whom we thank for all his efforts in preserving the identity of the homeland.
the issue is not new, what is new is what is being circulated locally and abroad, and in the media, that the bedouin is the “original” people of this land, and that current citizens are the ones who colonized this land, as happened with the american indians, and those who invaded them from european immigrants, or as if these bedouin are the ‘aboriginals’ of kuwait, as is the case with the original australian citizens.
this, of course, is a manipulation of the facts of history, but it has begun to find resonance with some foreign parties, which requires that it be addressed firmly, with a final decision on the issue of the bedouin situation as soon as possible!
