Logic of Al-Hajj Waleed
it is said that one of the conditions for pardoning former mp waleed altabtabaei and stopping the execution of sentences against him, is his pledge not to interfere in politics, but it seems clear this condition is difficult to adhere to, and the evidence is the “tweets” that he “embellishes” from time to time, the last of which was this text:
what will happen, our honorable elders?
the country was the victim of embezzlement and today it is a victim of conflicts.
the country’s income makes it ‘sweeter’ than dubai; better than qatar and better than japan.
the offense is clear in the tweet, but we will bypass it, as we are not in a place where others are held accountable, and we have no authority over this matter, especially since whoever tweets strives to remain in the limelight, the circle that before the use of electricity was lit by a lot of candles.
i responded to al-tabtabaei’s tweet at the time with another, in which i asked how, in his view, dubai, qatar, and japan, in particular, have now become examples for him to follow, while he was and still is a hardline politician. he also lived his life, as a deputy against everything represented by dubai, qatar, and japan in terms of openness, life, and progress, or so i think, and i am never certain that this is true. i regard it from the reality of what i read and hear.
how can kuwait, hajj waleed, become like dubai or japan, for example, when you have sought throughout your political life, and the party of ‘abu nafrin’, to make it a country similar to the taliban, and you wished with all your heart to be its honorary ambassador in kuwait or kuwait’s official ambassador in mullahs court?
i will not waste the time of the former deputy to remind him of all the things that made japan an ideal country, as he is often against all of those things if he really knows them.
what made japan a great country, and pushed the salafi st, without his awareness, to consider it an example to follow, is the morals of its people, and the insistence of its successive governments since 1945 until today on teaching ethics in state schools, so did he and his party seek or think, during his parliamentary career to submit a proposal to the council, to teach ethics in kuwaiti schools?
japan is a country that allows its people to choose the faith that suits them and embrace it, and it forbids insulting and despising the beliefs of others, or interfering in matters of worship of others, so is this what he wants?
japan is a country whose constitution prohibits waging war against other countries, and the citizen, whoever he is, has the right to assume the highest positions, regardless of his race, sect, or religion.
how can kuwait be like dubai, qatar, and japan, when for years it has never come closer to the reality of these countries?
further digression on this topic will not help, as such mentalities do not work with advice, or with logic.
