Reflections on quake

the recent earthquake that hit syria and turkey took only a few seconds, which was enough for the residents of cities and villages to flow like a raging sea into the streets and squares, with empty hands devoid of safe keys, passports, credit cards, house and car keys, property deeds, cash, and even forgetting about each other as they fled and gave up thousands of things that they fought and disagreed with others for.
the whole world faced the catastrophe of the earthquake that struck syria and turkey. it was accepted as a geological phenomenon that similar events happened tens of thousands of times, and for scientifically known reasons, but our pedantic, as usual, came up with their own conspiracy theories, because they find someone who believes in them without hesitation, and this is an indication of how miserable our situation is after our minds have been domesticated by depriving them of the virtue of doubt and thinking, for fear of expiation.
one of the promoters of the conspiracy theory attributed the causes of the earthquake to the american haarp project, which, according to their television channels, had previously caused many earthquakes since the project began in the 1990s.
those who believe and promote this theory do not know that the “haarp” project is related to the study of climate change, the development of communications, and other scientific research, has nothing to do with earthquakes, and is completely run by fairbanks university in alaska after it was handed over from the us government in 2015.
others also came out with the theory that russia may have detonated a small nuclear bomb, from a submarine, in the mediterranean, and perhaps by mistake, and its explosion caused an aftershock.
the third theory said that the reason is due to turkey‘s insistence on saving hundreds of millions of tons of water behind huge dams, and its enormous pressure on the ground caused the earthquake to occur, so erdogan ordered the opening of the dams to relieve the pressure on the ground.
muqtada al-sadr, the strong and rich man of iraq, also participated in the fray of interpretation, referring to the reason for our dishonorable standing on the issue of burning the qur’an. i do not know what his position was on the issue other than condemnation.
he was preceded in such an explanation, by more than a month, by his colleague mubarak alduwailah, as he stated in his article in al-qabas (2-1-2023) that us president biden’s signing of a project related to gays caused unprecedented winds and snowstorms in the history of america. it caused paralysis of life in all its manifestations, and everything froze.
we are waiting to read his interpretation of the recent earthquake that occurred in syria and turkey, the capital of the brotherhood, far from saying that in the case of america, it was a punishment, and in our case, it was a test.
