‘Please, read until the end’

kamala harris is the first american to hold the position of vice-president and the highest official among women, in the history of the united states, and the first official in this position, of african and asian descent.
kamla was born in 1964, the daughter of immigrants from the indian state of tamil nadu and a father from jamaica, who immigrated to america in the early sixties. in the upcoming presidential elections, she may become the president of the greatest and most powerful country in the world.
as for barack hussein obama, the former president of america, he was born in 1961, and his muslim father’s origins go back to kenya, from which he traveled to america in the fifties to study, but he left his family and returned to his homeland; and died in a traffic accident before he knew that his son would become the first african-american president.
eric varadkar, born in ireland in 1979, is considered the first president of indian descent of the republic of ireland, the son of immigrants -- varadkar’s mother, an irish-born nurse, and his father, an indian-born physician, met while working together in england, who immigrated to ireland in the mid-1960s.
the british hindu, rishi sunak, born in 1980, became the prime minister of great britain, the son of immigrants from india, and the first person with his specifications to occupy 10 downing street, the famous british prime minister’s residence.
sadiq khan, the son of pakistani immigrants, born in 1970, became mayor of london in 2005 and still is.
as for the scottish people, they chose the muslim hamza yusuf as their leader, and he is the son of immigrants from pakistan!
there are dozens, or rather hundreds of such people, whether in politics, industry, or high art, who are the children of immigrants from the middle east, arab countries, india, china, and pakistan, and from africa, who have done the best despite their humble origins or races, and their diverse and different religious beliefs completely different from the religions of the majority of the citizens of the countries they rule.
however, the openness of liberal democratic societies, and the entrenchment of human rights concepts in them, gave them the opportunity to reach the highest positions easily, and even very acceptable to the majority of voters. the citizen there wants someone to improve his life, reduce his taxes, and adjust the balance of payments of his country, regardless of his origins, sect, religion, or color!
as for some kuwaiti citizens whose families came to kuwait more than 150 years ago, like the rest of the country’s citizens, they may wait for years for their son to be accepted into certain bodies in the country.
but their wait will be long because they belong to a specific sect, and not for any other reason, so it is not allowed for someone who is similar to the majority in race, color, and religion, and was one of the first to come to kuwait, his ancestors to kuwait, to take up a humble profession, so how about more than that, just because of the difference in the sect!
developed countries, which respect the humanity of their citizens, do not hesitate to hand over their national security, and their entire fate, to the son or daughter of immigrants, without their race, color, sect, or religion, just because he was born in it and deserves the position!
for those who are addicted to fishing in troubled waters, i am not sectarian, and i will not care what you think or say about the topic of the article, but what was mentioned above is true and painful, and we must not remain silent about it!
