What is the secret of silence?

the social reform society, the behind-the-curtain and public face of the muslim brotherhood were established in kuwait in 1962. despite all the flaws, lapses, and even the betrayal of the international brotherhood organization, especially during the invasion and occupation of saddam in august 1990, the government mostly chose to pacify the brotherhood’s local branch, and to a vast extent remained mum on the betrayal of the international organization, and indeed supported the local group financially and politically, regardless of many of their strange statements and practices after that, especially during the ‘arab spring’ and the events that followed that almost ruined us.
of course, we cannot forget the threats of al-harbash and the earlier threats issued by abdullah al-ali to the government, who chose, for some reason, not to engage in a confrontation perhaps for special considerations which he knows better than the others.
what is certain is that the state agencies have a complete file on the transgressions and crimes committed by the local brotherhood, whether they are related to the invasion time or at the time of the arab spring.
it is said the state is using them to achieve its goals against other parties which opposes it, and if they appear to be making moves which run contrary to the state, the state threatens to open the file, and this is the opportune time for the senior members of the group to make huge money albeit money coming from the state coffers through their various commercial and engineering deals.
the lecturer, preacher and businessman tareq swaidan claims, through many statements and lectures, that he represents and speaks on behalf of the group, or at least that he is close to the muslim brotherhood, and he finds, of course, no embarrassment in speaking on their behalf and praising the brotherhood’s positions inside and outside kuwait.
a report broadcast by the al-arabiya channel recently revealed that suwaidan had spoken to a group of ‘brothers’ in sudan in 2014.
a tape was leaked after the collapse of the regime of al-bashir, who was par excellence a brotherhood strongman. one of the clips in the video contained strange phrases that are worth highlighting. al suwaidan says: “we (the brotherhood)“ were able, ”by the grace of god, in kuwait to play a major role in two things: the first was that kuwait announced its intention to support the ‘military coup’ in egypt with ‘billions’. we made a very strong move to stop that support, and we succeeded in not approving it in the national assembly.
the second issue is related to the security agreement. it is very dangerous because it would facilitate to extradite anyone to another country, even if no verdicts have been issued against the person. we also made a very strong movement so that the national assembly to reject it. the current assembly (2014) is a pro-government assembly and the government formed it in practice, however, we exerted pressure on the parliament, which is in the hands of the government, to refuse to support the agreement, and the agreement did not fall through.
al-suwaidan added the brotherhood leadership included a group of sisters, and that his wife was responsible for bringing them to the party.
and since there was no denial from the islamic constitutional movement (icm), or the brotherhood, or the reform society on what was said by alsuwaidan, nor even the denial of the latter, this means the clips were authentic. it also means that everything that was issued by “other engineering brotherhood leaders” about denying affiliation to the icm or the social reform society to the muslim brotherhood organization is a pure lie.
tareq sweidan speaks with excessive confidence in the leaked tape, portraying himself as belonging to the brotherhood in kuwait. and after all, this, what is the secret of the government silence on such leaks?
