‘Didn’t expect this from liberals’

some believe that they are advocates of reform and protectors of homelands, and they are neither this nor that, but rather just puppets looking for fame, placing themselves in a higher class than others, from which they distribute patriotic medals to some and withhold them from others.
a tweeter, whom i had some respect for, criticized what i wrote about the muslim brotherhood implicitly asking me to criticize hezbollah and its cells especially since his tweet coincided with another in which my colleague ali al-baghli was asked to write about the danger of the hezbollah cell in kuwait as much as he writes about the brotherhood.
because colleague al-baghli is a lawyer, he does not need my defense and therefore this is my response to the tweeter and his alike.
the one who verbally attacked me and the female journalist who sided with him are not the first of the slanderers nor the last as dozens have preceded them, and i don’t really know why it takes me to write, from time to time about the danger of the abdali cell or the danger of hezbollah in order to gain the satisfaction of this or that party.
whoever impudently put me in the circle of accusation and demanded that i defend myself and prove my patriotism by attacking hezbollah and its supporters in kuwait, have no right to dictate what i should write, and they do not have the right to dictate my actions, and i may find some excuse for them for they are undoubtedly ignorant with my previous opinions which i have explained in dozens of articles, and more ignorant of my positions on hezbollah in particular. i will not repeat what i have previously mentioned, in order to obtain their forgiveness.
no one has the right to call others, sectarian or racist, and ask them from time to time to act in the opposite way, and otherwise, the accusation of sectarianism and racism is applied to them.
the fact that a citizen belongs, or rather born to a family belonging to a sect, religion, or creed contrary to the majority sect or religion should not mean anything. based on constitutional, logical, and patriotic points of view, everyone is equal before the law and therefore either the writer or the media person or any citizen is forced to choose the topics of his articles, opinions, or actions based on the desires of some. patriotism and loyalty to the homeland and its symbols are a foregone conclusion, and treason is the exception.
we are all sons of a small country that does not tolerate division and difference, and therefore the honorable and patriotic citizen should not be pushed to seek refuge in his community, tribe, and region instead of resorting to the state, order, and law.
those who think that they are more patriotic than others should stop distributing accusations, and ask others to prove to them, with every sunrise, the correctness of their national loyalty, for this is a blatant absurdity.
