He who laughs last, laughs best

a person has the right to dispose of his money, as long as he is aware of the price he will pay if he acts recklessly. if he is foolish, he will be quarantined. a person has the right to dispose of his health in the way he desires, as long as he is aware of the consequences of his action and the diseases it will bring, especially when he reaches the most degrading age. he usually laughs a lot and very often is the one who laughs last.
over the course of a few moments, i reviewed the names of a large group of presidents, celebrities, tyrants, and major swindlers known to kuwait and the world, and i imagined, with mixed feelings, the fate they had ended up with or would end up with, sooner or later, and i thus learned one of the meanings of the title of today’s article, especially after i read the news of the fall of someone who had previously become famous for her tricks and for following the example of her father, in the evil of her deeds, after years of impersonating various qualities that were neither real nor legal.
when us president george h. w. bush, the hero of the liberation of kuwait, died a short time ago, his funeral was attended by five current and former us presidents: trump, obama, bush jr., clinton and carter, and his end, after he reached the age of ninety-four, was compared to the end of tyrants, such as saddam and gaddafi.
i was amazed at their stupidity and their absurdity because they did not learn from the simplest lessons of life, and how neither power nor prestige nor fame nor glory nor physical strength, nor any of these material things, can give us peace of mind and a deep and delicious sleep whenever we need it. we put our heads on the pillow at the end of the day, and we want to end our lives in peace and in complete harmony with ourselves!
ruminating over memories of rule, prestige, wealth, health, power, and authority, no matter how long they last, cannot compensate a person whenever he sees himself within the walls of a prison or within the walls of a house that he cannot leave, or on the run in hiding, afraid even of his own shadow, suspicious even of his family!
what did tyrants gain from oppressing their people and killing so many innocent people? would they choose to repeat their story if they came back to life…?
some of those who read this will smile sarcastically and will respond sarcastically that all he has to do is get the billions, by any means, and he will show us how he will be happy with them, or how he can make power a source of pleasure, but life experiences have proven that this is nothing but an “illusion.”
what comes (earned) in an incorrect way often does not last, and will lead to misery. what is the guarantee that he will be one of the few who will escape through the “eye of the needle”?
if we looked at the testimonies, memoirs, confessions, fates, and news of those who oppressed, stole, killed, embezzled, swindled, and destroyed the lives of many with drugs and other things, we would know that only a few enjoyed or were happy with their actions, and only a few would like to believe these words... and learn from them?
