‘Brothers’ opportunism

shortly after the liberation, all men representing various groups of the muslim brotherhood, including the ‘brothers’ of kuwait, were against the idea of the western forces liberating our homeland. since that day, the ‘brothers’ in kuwait have never looked like they are ready to cut ties with the world muslim brotherhood organization and call it a day, to the contrary they have always confi rmed they are not ready to distance from this organization. they have never said their positions and opinions are independent. however, as soon as someone criticizes the brotherhood of egypt or the positions taken by the world organization of the muslim brotherhood, the affi liates of the islamic constitutional movement (icm) rise up and do not hesitate to use their rusty pens to defend the muslim brotherhood, from wherever they are. therefore, the spokesmen of the icm are required to determine their position on the muslim brotherhood and the global organization and tell us whether they are part of them, or have nothing to do with them. their current ambiguous position includes a lot of opportunism, that is to say if the brotherhood succeeds, their movement (icm) shares the spoils and if they (brotherhood) fails, they claim to be independent. therefore, it is a shame to print their replies to the criticism of the brotherhood in the kuwaiti press, while at the same time, they do not dare, or rather fail, to respond to what was written and said by those who one day were members of the brotherhood and later discovered the fact about the organization and one of them was researcher tharwat al-kharbawi. none of them have responded or carried out a study on the writings of al-kharbawi especially his serious accusations of the methods of the muslim brotherhood, and their secret organization, contained in his book, ‘secret of the temple’, after abandoning the brotherhood. he abandoned the group after he discovered the reality of the group, and the secrets unknown to the outside world. al-kharbawi says: ‘my last meeting with counsellor mamoun al-hudhabi was in 2002, the man struck me with his coarse words, and i discovered like everyone else that he is impatient. this meeting with him is the conclusion of my story with the group’. ‘my last days with the muslim brotherhood were the happiest of my life. my heart realized that the brotherhood was a mirage which was pushing me towards a quagmire. the ordinary soul refuses tyranny even if it is coated with gold or its walls are built on the foundations of virtue’, al-kharbawi says. in his book, al-kharbawi reveals the hidden secrets of the muslim brotherhood, the black aspects and its military system established by hassan al-banna, which permits murder in the name of islam and other secrets worth looking at. we repeat the question: ‘why did not the brotherhood members who write for the kuwaiti press (and they are many) or sympathizers, respond to al-kharbawi and others but have distanced themselves from us? why do they not respond to those who have accused their group of tyranny and the leaders treat members like slaves? the leaders believe in blind obedience, which means orders cannot be discussed even if they are unconvincing. those who ‘revolt’ will be accused of treason and expelled. i have no doubt a majority, if not everyone who belong to the brotherhood, anywhere, are aware that they belonged to an organization which can achieve material or political victory. the goal of the organization is not faith and examples in this regards are countless.
