Why lax in tackling corruption?

many important and dangerous matters are discussed under the dome of “abdullah al-salem,” and part of it relates to the public interest and the fate of the country, but it passes without even those concerned knowing about it if they are not present in parliament at the time of making these statements or interventions. because of the importance of some of these issues, we have found it necessary to highlight them now and then. in a televised interview with the former deputy mubarak al-duwailah, he literally asked the current deputy ahmad al-fadhel to leave him alone.
in his turn, al-fadhel read the text of a question he had previously addressed to the minister of housing, and her answer to the question. he asked the minister to report to him the date of the registration of dar al-duwailah engineering consulting in the records of the residential care institution, after he found breach of the role and responsibility of companies assigned tasked with the establishment of residential cities, whether in terms of choosing the location of these new cities or the way of implementing the project, and how that owner of one of these companies appeared on a tv channel, and asked, in a challenging manner, for anyone to ask about the company he owns, which has tenders with the state, and prove that they have any violations.
from this standpoint, too, mp ahmad al-fadhel played his role as a legislator and observer of the work of the executive authority and among these violations, where he stated that he received an answer from the ministry consisting of 120 pages related to responding to a question about “dar al-duwailah”, and it was found out that the delay in the first project amounted to 120%. in the second project, the delay rate was 647%, as the date of completion of work in the contract was supposed to be within 18 months, but it spanned ten years and three months.
in the third contract, the delay rate was 128%, and that there was a delay fine of 320,000 dinars that the state did not attempt to collect from al-duwailah, and that the value of the three projects amounted to four million and 467,000 dinars, and that the sabah al-ahmad city contract was not fully implemented despite the passage of more than 10 years on the project, and the disaster is that the amount seized on the house does not exceed 12 thousand dinars.
mp al-fadhel described the matter as unjustified complacency and asked the concerned minister to refer all these violations to the public prosecution for investigation, with the reports of the audit bureau that ended in the inefficiency of “dar alduwailah”, a recommendation that was repeated in the bureau’s observations from 2012.
mp al-fadhel concluded with a serious question, this is the core of our article and its main purpose, as he said that the question showed strong and lasting influence for certain figures and that this influence allowed these entities to continue to obtain contracts and tenders despite their violations.
we put the content of this article at the disposal of everyone who has a conscience to ask with us and mp al-fadhel: how long is this laxity in holding violators accountable going to last? how long is this unjustified silence about them? and for how long will the brotherhood control the state’s joints?
